Eliza Brumer Cohn, MSW

Research Coordinator

Eliza Brumer Cohn, MSW works as a Research Coordinator with BRiTE faculty member Kevin Hallgren. Eliza oversees the daily operations of the ATOM Study, assists with patient recruitment, facilitates patient interviews throughout the study, and coordinates with clinicians. Eliza also works on developing protocols for future studies, maintains current research databases, and conducts qualitative data analysis.

 

Prior to working at the BRiTE Center, Eliza worked as a child and family therapist in community mental health. She has worked and volunteered in a variety of settings, including hospice and palliative care, educational programs, and shelters, always with a central focus on equity and justice. Eliza's research experience has been largely qualitative, integrating quality improvement and community-based interventions. Eliza believes in research with community, learning from community and merging our collective wisdom and experience. She aims to integrate a social and racial justice lens in all of the work that she does.
